Jon Hopkins booking

Jon Hopkins is an electronic artist, producer and classically trained composer, whose solo and collaborative works have received widespread acclaim, as well as Grammy, Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello nominations.

Recently cited by The New Yorker as "One of the most celebrated electronic musicians of his generation," Hopkins has forged a reputation for music that marries the dance floor to the devotional, and for live performances that are visceral, generous and charged with a rapt, sensuous beauty. His output flows from rugged techno to transcendent choral music, from solo acoustic piano to psychedelic ambient.

Initially gaining exposure through his work with Brian Eno, Coldplay and King Creosote in the mid-2000s, Hopkins gradually found his voice as a solo artist, blending intricately crafted beats with serene, meditative textures. The Mercury Prize nominated Immunity (2013) and the Grammy-nominated Singularity (2018), two intense, ambitious albums of spiritually-minded techno and ambient tracks, were among the decade's most lauded electronic albums.

Music for Psychedelic Therapy (2021) is Hopkins' first full-length since those two sister albums. For this collection, Hopkins wanted to make something that faced the opposite direction, something egoless and introspective, made with total, raw honesty. It was a departure in sound from these records; "an album with no beats, not one drum sound, something that is closer to a classical symphony than a dance / electronica record."

"It felt like time for a reset, to wait for music to appear from a different place," says Hopkins.

"A glacial, continuous ambient piece that draws on the epic beauty of nature, it's a thoughtful blueprint for what the future of this field might sound like: spacious, delicate, comforting, a pastel mural of sound." Pitchfork

Hopkins has remixed artists as diverse as Flume, David Lynch, Moderat, Disclosure, Four Tet, Wild Beasts and Purity Ring. Other projects include collaborations with Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes and Bonobo, as well as productions for London Grammar and Coldplay. He also composes for film, with credits including Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones and Gareth Edwards' classic indie sci-fi film Monsters, which earned an Ivor Novello nomination for Best Original Score, also the National Theatre Live production of Hamlet. His works appear in numerous films, TV series and adverts.

His last full worldwide tour pre Covid was the incredibly successful Singularity tour which saw him perform sold out solo live shows, festival dates and DJ appearances across the globe. The 2020 Polarity tour was interrupted by the pandemic, but saw a re scheduled sold out performance at London's Royal Albert Hall in November last year and will be continued across Europe in the autumn.
