FLOWVERS are an English Indie/Alternative band from the South coast city of Portsmouth formed in 2016. Consisting of vocalist Matisse Moretti, drummer Connor Griffiths, guitarist Stan Powell and bassist Henry Wood.
After meeting in their school years and developing their musical tastes, FLOWVERS went on to write and record their first EP. Landing radio play, festival slots, UK tours and working with producer Gethin Pearson (JAWS, Badly Drawn Boy) at the legendary Eve Studios in Stockton.
The band have since continued to develop their sound of new unheard material over the last two years. The first single to signify this was ‘Far Away’ recorded at Warner Studio London with Artic Monkey’s /Radiohead credited Richard Woodcraft, the follow up to the Old Chapel Demos EP, 5 Tracks recorded in one day which had caught the ear of Radio X John Kennedy who opened his show with key single ‘When It Comes To It’ fast forward 9 months the band went in with producer Michael Smith at RYP (Wolf Alice, Anteros) to record new music which included Post Punk influenced track ‘Flowers’ and the produced studio version of ‘When It Comes To It’, which gained Radio X Posure and XS Manchester Playlisting, BBC Intro, Soccer Am a nr 100% Student radio networks support. With loads of new music to come, Great Escape dates and festivals to be announced 2022/23 are going to be an exciting period for the lads who’s ever-changing list of influences includes; New Wave, Post-Punk, 90s alternative and shoegaze.
