For more than a decade, Los Angeles producer/ DJ 12th Planet, born John Dadzie, has remained one of the foremost pioneers in the global electronic music scene. Recognized as the "Los Angeles dubstep god" by Rolling Stone and dubbed the "US Dubstep Godfather" by Mixmag, 12th Planet helped introduce dubstep music and culture across North America.

In 2011, he co-wrote/co-produced "Right on Time," off Skrillex's GRAMMY-winning 'Bangarang' EP. His seminal 2012 two-part 'The End Is Near!' EP and 'The End' EP included collaborations with Skrillex & Kill the Noise and others.
In the 2000s, 12th Planet, alongside cofounder Drew Best, solidified L.A. and the US as leading players in the worldwide dubstep scene via his influential SMOG Records and SMOG events, which hosted icons like Benga and Caspa and released music by MUST DIE!, Flinch and others. In 2016, SMOG celebrated its 10-year anniversary.
In 2017, 12th Planet joined forces with leading bass label Disciple to launch Disciple Round Table, a sub label specializing in dubstep, riddim and bass. He's released several singles and EPs on Disciple, including the 'Swamplex Terrestrial' EP and the coinciding 'Swamplex Extra-Terrestrial' EP. In 2018, he launched his Sirius XM 'Swamplex Radio' show.
In 2021, 12th Planet released Supernova EP which features fan favorite, Magine Iguana. Following this release, 12th Planet headed out on the road for a 25-stop tour. The Supernova EP is a premier release with a combined Spotify stream count of over 5 million.
In 2023, 12th Planet kept pushing the envelope with the release of three EPs — Commencement, Along the Way, and Red Bouquet. These EPs were part of a trilogy that told a journey from start to finish. Across all three EPs, 12th Planet collaborated with a range of talented artists including Palmer Reed, Taylr Renee, Vulgatron, and Gracie Van Brunt. These partnerships pushed the boundaries of genre bending, showcasing 12th Planet's ability to transcend musical conventions.
12th Planet is a dominating force in the US and international festival/club markets. He's performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival, in addition to sold-out headlining tours across N. America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
One of the first US dubstep ambassadors, Los Angeles producer/DJ 12th Planet has remained a leading pioneer in the global dubstep scene and a definitive voice in the American EDM explosion for more than a decade and there's no signs of slowing down.
